On August 19 and 20 (Sun.), the annual Ainu traditional event “Chipsanke” will be held in Nibutani, Biratori Town.
Chipsanke is the Ainu word for “boat-launching festival. After the traditional Ainu ceremony to ensure the safety of the festival, visitors can actually experience a boat ride down the Saru River in a chippu (wooden boat).

Nibutani Works will also sell ramgu products and event-exclusive T-shirts on the 19th and 20th.
